Rose Bowl by Essie
Love this color. Really bright, super creamy, and just the right opaqueness.
Rule of a Lady:
This is what got me through work this week. That, and also the constant reminder that we are put in uncomfortable situations to learn from them and to grow. But most importantly, to conquer.
Anniversary Weekend in the OC
Sugar Daddy and I spent the weekend in Orange County in celebration of our one year of marriage. We stayed at the Westin Hotel which connected to the South Coast Plaza Mall via skybridge! We ate at some pretty amazing bakeries and cafés: Bought matching Ray Ban’s: Had dinner at the wonderful Maggiano’s: Slept on $1,500 hotel sheets (who in their right mind...
Craving of the Day: Texas Cookin'
For some odd reason, I have been really craving southern soul food: mashed potatoes, home made gravy, corn on the cobb, sweet tea, etc. While visiting Texas last month, I was able to drink an ice cold Dr. Pepper made with 100% cane sugar. Sugar Daddy’s aunt has a vintage soda machine in which you have to put a dime in to get your glass bottle: And while we were in Dallas, the hubby...
I like to switch up my fragrances as the seasons change. This summer, I have been loving Couture Couture by Juicy Couture. It contains pink grape, orange flower, mandarin, blushed plum, honeysuckle and bold jasmine. Creamy sandalwood and rich vanilla top it off to give a sweet modern scent that is perfect for summer. What is your favorite fragrance this season?
A fun way to incorporate color into your everyday look is by adding a bright liner to your lower lash line. Here’s what I used: Top Liner: Mac Blacktrack Fluidline Bottom Liner: Flipside by Urban Decay Mascara: Loreal Voluminous in Carbon Black You don’t need to go out and buy a bright eyeliner. Instead try lining your bottom lash line with a black creamy pencil, then pat a...
Breakfast for Dinner
Cinnamon pancakes with fresh berries. Yum!
NYX Jumbo Eye Pencils
Want to to make your eyeshadow more vibrant? Try using a colorful base underneath such as these creamy pencils: Here are the swatches: From bottom: Black Bean, Cottage Cheese, Horse Radish, Electric Blue, Violet, Milk, Slate, and Pacific. To be quite honest, I have a love hate relationship with these guys. They crease after a couple hours, are difficult to sharpen, and are not as long...
Red, White & Blue
Navy Blue Striped Sweater: H&M. Shorts: Marshall’s. Shirt & Necklace: Express. Nail Polish: OPI. Star Knuckle Ring: F21. Lipstick: Monte Carlo by Buxom. Red Headband: c/o myopinionmeansnothing Happy 4th everyone! xx
Too scared to wear black eyeliner but still want a defined eye look? Use a dark brown shade instead. I find that wearing brown liner gives a soft definition to the eyes versus a black harsh line. Brown eyeliner also makes blue and green eyes stand out beautifully. Dipdown Fluidline by Mac is a dark rich brown. It is perfect to softly define eyes in both fair and medium skin complexions.
