IMATS 2012
I had always dreamt of attending The International Makeup Artistry Trade Show [IMATS] in Los Angeles, and this year I was finally able to go. My BFF, who also happens to be my favorite pharmacist, and I bought tickets months ago. We made a master plan, and worked on our wish list for weeks. I still can’t believe that Dr. Suzy, who is NINE MONTHS PREGNANT, got up at the butt crack of dawn and stood in line for an hour to get in the show. What’s even more impressive is that she didn’t take one break during our 8 hour venture…not even to rest her feet or go to the bathroom. She nudged her way through the crowds, stood in extremely long lines, and swatched the heck out of the eyeshadows at the Inglot booth. My hat goes off to you, Dr. Suzy. You go girl.
And I know what you’re thinking. Dang, that’s a lot of makeup. But in my defense, everything had a major discount. And at the Makeup Forever booth, I qualified for a Pro Card. Who can say no to 40% off?! Not me.
Although I was able to get most of the things on my list, the best part of my day was getting to meet people who love makeup as much as me. Although I met some famous youtube makeup gurus, [like VintageorTacky & CharismaStarTV] I enjoyed meeting up with one particular girl and her friends. Steffi, one of my favorite tumblr followers, found me at the Inglot booth. When I saw her, I almost died.
It was so nice to meet you in person, Steffi! You are beautiful, inside and out ;)
