A gift from Jessica
Today was rough. I started my fourth and final year of pharmacy school. I was dreading the start of rotations, but I was in no way prepared for what was to come. Although today was only an orientation, I got a taste of what my life will be like for the next 6 weeks, and I’m not happy about it. Spending 12 hours in a hospital going on rounds, early mornings, having to do journal clubs, countless presentations, getting grilled by physicians and pharmacy preceptors, and no sleep. That’s what I have to look forward to.
And then I came home to this:

Jessica, from Getting Cheeky sent me a package of her favorite French Pharmacie goodies! One look at that blush, and all of my troubles were gone. Not even kidding.
I finally get to try Bioderma Crealine H2O! You have absolutely no idea how happy that makes me. My inner makeup goddess is doing cartwheels and back flips at the moment. What is Bioderma, you may ask? It’s a water based makeup remover that originates from France. My makeup idol, Lisa Eldridge, uses this to take off her makeup. She swears by it. I had always wanted to buy it, but I didn’t want to commit to the big bottle [and the price tag] without trying it. So what did I do when I opened the box and saw this beautiful little bottle? I poured some into a cotton ball and used it right away. And wow. Just wow. I am blown away. I am going to go on record and say this is my holy grail makeup remover. Yes, I said it.
Jessica also included Top Shop’s Cream Blush in Flush. First of all, let me confess that I have never tried any Top Shop makeup product in my entire life. I have lusted over their items, but I never had the opportunity to purchase any. Top Shop is a brand from the UK and only have three stores in the US, unfortunately none near me. And this blush. Oh man, this blush. Not only is the blush super creamy and a perfect pink, but the packaging is to die for. I will definitely be pulling this baby out for touch ups during my rotation at the hospital. Sticking it in my white lab coat pocket as we speak.
A wonderful fragrance from Tom Ford was also included in the package. Violet Blonde is musky and slightly masculine, yet still very sultry and sexy. It smells so elegant and classy. One tiny spray of this is enough to make you go WOW. I am loving this perfume so much. It is so me. I know Jessica has been loving Black Orchid also from Tom Ford. If that smells like this one or even better…I may just be in a lot of trouble. [financially, that is]
Thank you so much, Jessica, for the wonderful package of goodies. You have sent me some really amazing products I wouldn’t have tried otherwise!
And if you haven’t checked out her blog yet, do yourself a favor and click here. Jessica has such an eloquent vocabulary, and her makeup posts are some of the best I’ve ever read. She has a fine taste in makeup, books, and all things classy. And don’t get me started on the caliber of her product photos. What are you waiting for—go check her out!

I saw the Bioderma bottle and IMMEDIATELY thought of Lisa Eldridge. I live for her skin care posts. I am so curious to try it. Do you think you’ll be purchasing a full sized bottle after this?
